My relationship fell apart and it was so painful that I thought I would drown, but it turned out to be the greatest of blessings. I discovered Truth, and it set me free. Whenever I go home I am faced with the cigarette smoke, apparent drug use and reports of tragic deaths. I grew up in what many would call a great deal of negativity. And in making peace with my past I try to find positive things to talk about when relaying my Detroit experience. But making love with your past is deeper and more freeing. I am so very thankful for the gift of Detroit and for all of the lessons learned that I am blessed and benefited by today. I am loving and seeing the Divine in all the people I encountered there.
